Ensenada Tours

Ensenada is called the "Cinderella of the Pacific" with an abundance of sights and experiences.

Did you know Ensenada…

  • has a busy port with a picturesque boardwalk (malecon in Spanish) and world-famous Mercado Negro seafood market (featured on the PBS TV series “Mexico: One Plate at a Time”, where American chef Rick Bayless can be spotted shopping)
  • is home to Ensenada Center for Scientific Research & Higher Education (CICESE), and has more resident scientists and bio medical device companies than any other city in Mexico
  • hosts the Baja 500 and 1000, the premier off road  desert races operated by Las Vegas based Southern California Off Road Enterprises (SCORE)

A typical day tour departs from Tours in Baja office, Rosarito Beach or Tijuana border (point of origin) at 9am with return by 9pm.

Along the coastal drive south, stops include the famous La Buffadora (one of the largest blowholes in North America).

Activities in Ensenada include a 35-45 minute boat around the port and bay, as well as a visit to Mercado Negro.

On the return trip northbound, a lobster dinner is served in the rustic village of Puerto Nuevo.
